San Bruno man arrested for crashing into, killing jogger in Bayview

A 21-year-old San Bruno man was arrested last week and has been charged with vehicular manslaughter for killing a female jogger in the Bayview on Aug. 1, said police.

Devon Radel, who was arrested Aug. 3 and booked into County Jail that day, was driving near Harney Way and Executive Park Boulevard when he allegedly struck with a vehicle 37-year-old San Francisco resident Xiuwei Liu.

Liu died from her injuries.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Radel, who had not fled. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Radel was booked on felony suspicion of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and misdemeanor for reckless driving.
