Right-wing counter protests form at Alamo Square, Civic Center

Thousands of demonstrators gathered near Alamo Square in San Francisco, Calif. Saturday, August 26, 2017 to speak out against a planned right-wing news conference originally organized at Crissy Field. The group gathered near Hayes and Steiner streets in the city’s Western Addition neighborhood then marched to 24th and Mission Streets. A second large counter protest grew to several hundred , beginning at Harvey Milk Plaza in the Castro District and marching to San Francisco’s City Hall at Civic Center Plaza.
