San Francisco Ballet has announced its 2019 season, a showcase of new dances — including not-yet-announced encores from 2018’s upcoming anticipated spring programs of 12 premieres — as well a few world premieres.

“This season, I’m thrilled to bring back some of the wonderful new works from this year’s unprecedented Unbound Festival,” said San Francisco Ballet Artistic Director and Principal Choreographer Helgi Tomasson on Tuesday.

While new dances from frequent collaborators Liam Scarlett and Yuri Possokhov also come to the War Memorial stage, the troupe rounds out 2018 with a Festival Napa Valley performance on July 27 and a tour in Washington D.C. Popular “Nutcracker” performances run Dec. 12-29 this year.
