Proposed Mission Moratorium

Speakers both for and against a proposed housing moratorium for The Mission showed up in droves at City Hall on Tuesday June 2, 2015 to make their voice heard. The proposal put forth by Supervisor David Campos would halt market rate housing production in a portion of The Mission for 45 days up to two years. This would give city officials time to formulate a plan to address the neighborhoods housing needs.
