The 32nd annual San Francisco Bay Area Pro-Am Basketball League tips off today with S.F. City taking on South Bay at 8 p.m. at Kezar Pavilion. The league draws some of the area’s top college and international pro players. <br>
NBA players Jeremy Lin, Matt Barnes and Jason Kapono are slated to make periodic appearances this summer. There are no league tryouts, as each team has an open-roster policy for new additions at any time during the season.
The women’s league also starts this week, with games scheduled for noon, 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday at Kezar Pavilion. Stanford’s Chiney Ogwumike and Joslyn Tinkle are expected to be two of the top draws. Admission to all games is free.
