A 41-year-old man crashed his car into several parked vehicles Saturday afternoon –damaging a SoMa restaurant in the process– and ended up in critical condition in the hospital, say police.

The man exited the freeway on to Bryant street around 5:30 p.m. and then crashed into three parked vehicles, slamming two of them into Caffe Roma, which is across the street from the Hall of Justice.

No one was injured other than the drive, who was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and is in critical condition.

Caffe Roma was closed at the time. The damage was not enough to force Caffe Roma’s closure.

Police believe he drive may have been under the influence of alcohol.
