Raiders bring back kicker Eddy Carmona

The Raiders re-signed free agent kicker Eddy Carmona, general manager Reggie McKenzie announced Tuesday. Carmona, a left-footed kicker out of Harding University in Arkansas, spent training camp and preseason with the Raiders in 2012 after originally signing as a non-drafted rookie free agent. WikiLeaks suspect Bradley Manning won’t be SF Pride parade marshal

A protest is planned today in support of Bradley Manning, the openly gay Army private who is charged in a massive leak of U.S. secrets and who was reportedly wrongfully named a grand marshal for The City’s Pride parade in June. The president of San Francisco Pride said Friday that Manning, who is accused of providing the WikiLeaks website with U.S. intelligence, will not be an honorary grand marshal after all. Read More

Matt Cain looks to stop losing streak for Giants

The Giants are in desperate need of a strong outing from a starting pitcher to put an end to their current five-game skid and normally Matt Cain would be just the man for the job.
