Woman feeds the meter, then goon’s grubby mitts

A woman was shaken and stirred after being robbed at a parking meter in the 900 block of Larkin Street about 5:10 p.m. Monday. The 33-year-old victim was putting money into the meter when a man in his 40s grabbed her and began shaking her, police said. The hoodlum reached into her purse and stole her wallet. He ran away up the street, grabbed cash from the wallet and ditched it before jumping onto a Muni bus. Read More

Kitchen kerfuffle quickly goes to pot, then police

This argument got heated. A man was assaulted with a pot in the Sunnydale neighborhood Monday, police said. The 52-year-old victim was arguing with a 26-year-old woman in the first block of Esquina Drive about 5 p.m., police said, when she grabbed the pot from the stove and struck the victim upside the head before fleeing. Victim hurt badly in Bayview street shooting

A man was critically injured in a shooting Monday in the Bayview, police said. The 28-year-old victim was standing in the area of Newhall Street and La Salle Avenue about 11 p.m. when a man in his 20s approached, opened fire and fled, police said. Thief just wanted a beanie

To beanie or not to beanie. A man wan was arrested last Friday for allegedly stealing beanies from a Tenderloin department store. Store security told police they saw the man enter the store on O’Farrell Street wearing a backpack. He then put several beanies into the backpack and walked out. Security guards detained the man until police arrived. When asked why he committed the theft, he told police rather indignantly, “I wanted some beanies!” Read More

Sleep tight, don’t let the bed burglars bite. Two people were victims of separate burglaries while they were sleeping last Sunday, police said. The first burglary was reported about 7 p.m. in the 3700 block of 17th Street. A 76-year-old woman woke up and realized her computer had been stolen. A woman was robbed of her vehicle in South of Market in the 1100 block of Folsom Street about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The 34-year-old victim was in the passenger seat when a man in his 30s knocked on the driver’s side window, police said. The woman unlocked the doors and the man got in the car and kicked her out before driving away, police said. The keys were in the ignition. The car was later recovered at 17th and Mission streets. Stepdad pleads out of child sex abuse case

This guy is the stepdad from hell. And yet his victims only wanted to keep mom happy. Robert Sparhawk, 48, of Palo Alto pleaded no contest Monday to three felony child molestation charges for sexually abusing his wife’s two daughters, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said. Sparhawk, an IT analyst for a San Francisco company, reportedly began the abuse in February 2007 when the family lived in San Mateo. The victims were 11 and 12 years old at the time. Read More

A 21-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed of her cellphone in the Tenderloin about 4:25 a.m. Wednesday while waiting for the bus at O’Farrell and Leavenworth streets, police said. The victim reportedly struggled with the crook to no avail, and the suspect fled. Read More

A teenage boy was robbed at gunpoint in Dolores Park on Tuesday, police said. Six other teen boys reportedly confronted the victim about 9:30 a.m. One of the punks pulled out a handgun and took the boy’s cellphone and cash before fleeing, police said. Kin persuade suspect to face homicide charge

Police have made a second arrest in connection with the Sept. 16 shooting death of Jesus Solis. Dylan Lemalie, 20, of San Francisco, was arrested and charged with murder Tuesday, police said. Lemalie’s family reportedly persuaded him to surrender. On Monday, police arrested 18-year-old Adrian Landers in connection with the homicide. Solis was found about 4 p.m. Sept. 16 in the 1200 block of Treat Street, police said. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call police at (415) 575-4444. A man was shot in the leg near Alamo Square on Monday night, police said. The 19-year-old victim was walking in the 800 block of Fulton Street near Friendship Court about 10:45 p.m. when he was wounded by an unknown suspect from an unknown direction. Two San Francisco brothers could learn something from the city of Philadelphia after they said to hell with love and got into a knife fight in Chinatown on Monday, police said. This firebug was quite the “news”-ance. A man tried to set a Glen Park business on fire early Tuesday morning by stuffing newspapers into the business’s mail slot in the 2900 block of Diamond Street about 3 a.m. before setting them ablaze, police said. He asked her to give $10, but she gave him the chair

Talk about a sense of entitlement. A Richmond district woman was confronted by a drunken man who had come to the front door of her apartment in the 200 block of 19th Avenue about 10:30 p.m. Monday seeking $10, police said. The woman said she had no money, but the man pushed his way into the apartment, police said. When he grabbed her, police said, she hit him with a chair and then used it to drive him out of the apartment. He fled in an unknown direction. Read More
