A man was assaulted with a pot in the Sunnydale neighborhood Monday, police said.
The 52-year-old victim was arguing with a 26-year-old woman in the first block of Esquina Drive about 5 p.m., police said, when she grabbed the pot from the stove and struck the victim upside the head before fleeing.

A man was critically injured in a shooting Monday in the Bayview, police said.
The 28-year-old victim was standing in the area of Newhall Street and La Salle Avenue about 11 p.m. when a man in his 20s approached, opened fire and fled, police said.

A man wan was arrested last Friday for allegedly stealing beanies from a Tenderloin department store.
Store security told police they saw the man enter the store on O’Farrell Street wearing a backpack. He then put several beanies into the backpack and walked out.
Security guards detained the man until police arrived. When asked why he committed the theft, he told police rather indignantly, “I wanted some beanies!” Read More

Two people were victims of separate burglaries while they were sleeping last Sunday, police said.
The first burglary was reported about 7 p.m. in the 3700 block of 17th Street. A 76-year-old woman woke up and realized her computer had been stolen. A window was open and the screen had been removed, police said. Read More
A woman was robbed of her vehicle in South of Market in the 1100 block of Folsom Street about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
The 34-year-old victim was in the passenger seat when a man in his 30s knocked on the driver’s side window, police said. The woman unlocked the doors and the man got in the car and kicked her out before driving away, police said. The keys were in the ignition.
The car was later recovered at 17th and Mission streets. No arrest has been made.

Robert Sparhawk, 48, of Palo Alto pleaded no contest Monday to three felony child molestation charges for sexually abusing his wife’s two daughters, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
Sparhawk, an IT analyst for a San Francisco company, reportedly began the abuse in February 2007 when the family lived in San Mateo. The victims were 11 and 12 years old at the time. Read More

Police have made a second arrest in connection with the Sept. 16 shooting death of Jesus Solis.
Dylan Lemalie, 20, of San Francisco, was arrested and charged with murder Tuesday, police said. Lemalie’s family reportedly persuaded him to surrender.
On Monday, police arrested 18-year-old Adrian Landers in connection with the homicide.

A Richmond district woman was confronted by a drunken man who had come to the front door of her apartment in the 200 block of 19th Avenue about 10:30 p.m. Monday seeking $10, police said.
The woman said she had no money, but the man pushed his way into the apartment, police said. When he grabbed her, police said, she hit him with a chair and then used it to drive him out of the apartment. He fled in an unknown direction. Read More
