A man was knocked out and stabbed near the Civic Center on Wednesday, police said.The 35-year-old victim was reportedly punched and fell unconscious in the 600 block of Larkin Street about 8:30 p.m., police said. When he woke up, he had been stabbed in the leg.He was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries, which were not life threatening.The victim was uncooperative with police and the only description made available from the police was that his attacker was a white man.No arrest has been made. A 61-year-old man who, along with his wife, runs a doughnut shop in Visitacion Valley was shot in the arm as he fought off an armed crook with a knife who tried to rob the shop, police Officer Gordon Shyy said. About 3 a.m. Monday, the armed suspect entered the Happy Donuts in the 2600 block of Bayshore Boulevard. Not cool, bungling bros. Four would-be surfboard thieves were busted after busting into the Sunset Shapers surf shop on Saturday, according to a report from Ocean Beach Bulletin. Crooks target jewelry-clad man walking in the Mission district

A guy walking through the Mission district Wednesday was assaulted for his necklace, police said.The 59-year-old victim was near 24th and Lilac streets when one of two men walked past him, ripped off his necklace necklace and ran, police said. The victim tried to chase after the thief, but was stopped by a second suspect. The two crooks fled south on Lilac Street and have yet to be found.The first thief was described by police as a black man in his 20s and the second man was said to be a Hispanic boy in his teens. Woman walking with purse robbed in Cole Valley

A woman strolling through Cole Valley yesterday evening was robbed at gunpoint, police said. The 44-year-old victim was walking on the unit block of Grattan Street about 5 p.m. when a man armed with a handgun walked up to her and demanded her purse. The victim did as she was told and the crook, who was described by police as a black man in his 20s, fled to a vehicle waiting nearby. Man beaten senseless for wallet, phone

A man was beaten unconscious in a brazen Mission district robbery early Wednesday morning, police said. The 46-year-old victim was walking near 22nd and Mission streets at about 1:50 a.m. on Wednesday when five hooligans attacked him, police said. The victim was hit numerous times in the head until he was knocked out. After the assault, the crooks stole the man's wallet and cellphone and fled, police said.
