Downtown Wells Fargo robbed at gunpoint Wednesday

A Wells Fargo was robbed at gunpoint in downtown San Francisco on Wednesday. The robbery occurred about 4:50 p.m. in the 100 block of Spear Street, Police Department Sgt. Daryl Fong said. A man went into the bank and demanded cash from each of the three tellers working then. The bandit pulled a handgun out of his waistband while the tellers handed over the cash, police said. The man made off with an undisclosed amount of money. No arrest has been made. Read More

A man was shot in the chest in the Western Addition on Monday, police said. The 27-year-old victim was at the intersection of Turk and Fillmore streets about 4 p.m. when he was reportedly shot. Two men were threatened and one of them was punched in an attempted robbery in the Mission district Monday night, police said. The two victims, ages 19 and 20, were walking near 24th and Folsom streets about 8:45 p.m. when they were confronted by a group of thugs, police said. China Basin burglar tracked down by victim’s smartphone

A China Basin burglary was foiled Sunday after the victim helped police track his stolen laptop with his smartphone, police Officer Albie Esparza said.  The 32-year-old victim awoke at 5:50 a.m. when he heard footsteps coming from the rooftop deck of his home in the unit block of Clarence Place. Suspect, victim meet at hospital

A man was arrested Wednesday night after checking into the same hospital as the victim he allegedly stabbed during a fight, police said.  Clifton Thomas, 22, of San Francisco was reportedly involved in a fight with a 36-year-old man near the Civic Center BART station, police Officer Albie Esparza said. Man arrested trying to sell SF State computers at pawn shop

San Francisco police reportedly arrested a man Monday morning who was at a pawn shop trying to sell two computers labeled as San Francisco State University property following a break-in at the school recently. The Humanities Building at SFSU was broken into over the weekend and two iMac computers were stolen, school spokeswoman Ellen Griffin said. There was broken glass and damage to some windows and the room where the two computers were stolen. The person arrested at the pawn shop was not a student or affiliated with the university in any way, Griffin said. Read More

Woman attacked with baby stroller while doing laundry in Bayview

A woman was attacked with a baby stroller while she was doing laundry in her Bayview apartment building Sunday, police said. Officers responded to the scene about 8 a.m. The 52-year-old victim told police she had been in a loud argument with her husband in her home in the 1800 block of Silver Street earlier in the morning that had disturbed her downstairs neighbor, police said. A man was stabbed in the nose in South of Market on Monday, police said.The 43-year-old victim was standing near a gas station in the 1200 block of Howard Street at 6:53 p.m. when he was attacked, Sgt. Michael Andraychak said. The victim was “enjoying an adult beverage” and smoking a cigarette when he was approached by a man in his 50s who called the victim a name and punched him in the face, Andraychak said. Plundering posses robs, assaults bicyclist

A bicyclist was assaulted and robbed in the mid-Market Street area early Monday morning, police said. The 24-year-old victim was riding his bike in the unit block of Sixth Street at 1:50 a.m. when he was attacked by three men and one woman, all in their 20s, police said. One of the suspects grabbed the victim’s bike and began beating him up, police said. Another suspect hit the victim with a baseball bat. The thugs took the victim’s cellphone and fled.
