Stabbing victim rushed to hospital  A man was found by police after being stabbed in the South of Market area Tuesday morning, Sgt. Daryl Fong said.The victim, described as being in his 40s, was discovered in the 1100 block of Folsom Street near Eighth Street about 5:52 a.m., Fong said. He had suffered a stab wound to his upper body. He was transported to a hospital for his injury, which was not considered to be life-threatening, Fong said. San Francisco homicides rise to 20 after man dies in Potrero Hill shooting

What: San Francisco police are investigating the shooting of a man in the Potrero Hill neighborhood as a homicide after he succumbed to his injuries. Why: The 23-year-old victim was in the back seat of a car that was dropping someone off on Watchman Way early Sunday morning when he was shot. The man died Tuesday morning at a hospital. Two crooks hit the roof for foolproof escape

Two crooks apparently escaped on a rooftop after a business was robbed in the Cow Hollow neighborhood Monday night, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said. Three men in their 20s rang the buzzer to the business in the 1900 block of Lombard Street about 9:35 p.m. and were let in, police said. Once inside, the suspects — one armed with a gun and another with a knife — ordered the four employees to open the cabinets, the victims told police. Six teens robbed at gunpoint by weed-seeking crook

Six teens were robbed in the Oceanview area Saturday morning by a gun-toting goon who first asked if they were selling weed, police said. Four men and two women, all ranging in age from 18 to 19, were standing on the corner of Capitol Avenue and Broad Street around 12:30 a.m. after hanging out at the Minnie and Lovie Ward Recreational Center and Park, Sgt. A man was critically injured in a stabbing in one of many knife-related crimes this past weekend. Mission Street and Brazil Avenue9:15 p.m. SaturdayA 22-year-old man was critically injured in a stabbing, police said. The victim was standing at a bus stop with his girlfriend when the suspect, a male in his late teens, asked the victim if he was affiliated with a gang. Guy Fieri's stolen Lamborghini found during shooting probe

What a strange tale this Spyder weaves. A Lamborghini owned by celebrity chef Guy Fieri that was stolen a year ago from a San Francisco dealership was found Saturday in Richmond during the investigation into an attempted homicide in Mill Valley. The bright-yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder sports car was stolen from  a San Francisco dealership March 8, 2011.  San Francisco police at the time said the suspect repelled down from the roof of the building, entered through a window and fled in the car, worth upward of $200,000. Tussle tips off cops to Mission District burglary

Two men were arrested on burglary charges after breaking into an apartment building Wednesday, police Officer Gordon Shyy said. One of the suspects was chased outside by a resident, and the two were seen “tussling on the ground” when police arrived at the intersection of Duboce Avenue and Valencia Street about 8:22 p.m., Shyy said. The 45-year-old victim told police the man he was fighting broke into his apartment building with another man. Officers responded to the building and found the second suspect. Read More

Mom thwarts Craigslist kidnapping, theft in Daly City

A man trying to sell his car on Craigslist got taken for a ride Monday by a Daly City man who allegedly threatened the seller and demanded the vehicle’s pink slip. Jeremy Jenkins, 20, faces a slew of charges after the so-called test drive turned into a botched kidnapping, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said. Jenkins responded to an ad on Craigslist advertising a 1998 Ford Mustang for sale, Wagstaffe said. The 26-year-old owner of the Mustang agreed to meet Jenkins at the Daly City BART Station. Hotel manager charged with DVD bag snag

Sometimes, locking your door isn’t enough. A tenant of a mid-Market Street residential hotel was reportedly robbed of a duffle bag of DVDs by the building manager Tuesday, police Officer Gordon Shyy said. The 22-year-old resident was in his locked room in the area of Sixth and Market streets about 6:35 p.m. when the manager, identified as 38-year-old Alejandro Diaz of San Francisco, used his set of master keys to open the door, Shyy said. Diaz allegedly grabbed the duffle bag of DVDs and ran out into the hall. Read More

Smoke in the park leads to beating, robbery

Two teenagers were beaten and robbed in a park by three goons whom they had just met at a restaurant Tuesday night, police said. The 19-year-old victims met three men in their 20s, and they all agreed to smoke in a park together, police said. Afterward, an argument ensued about payment and the three men in their 20s proceeded to beat on the two victims, punching them several times, police said. The goons then snatched the victims’ hats, jewelry, cash and cellphones, police said, and fled on foot. Read More

Walk to meet girlfriend ends with robbery at gunpoint

A 30-year-old man who was on his way to meet his girlfriend in the Mission district was robbed at gunpoint near 25th and Shotwell streets about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, police said. The gun-toting robber demanded the victim’s property and told him to walk around the corner “because they were near an elementary school,” police said. When the victim went around the corner, another man demanded his property. The second suspect was described by police as a man in his 30s. The victim turned over his briefcase, wallet, clothing and a debit card to the two crooks. Read More

Bank-robbing hoods stick to neighborhood

Tellers in one downtown block may have quite a tale to tell after three bank robberies this month. The most recent heist happened Monday about 4 p.m., police said. A man in his 40s entered a bank on Post Street and handed the teller an envelope with a note. He then told her to hand over the cash. The 51-year-old woman complied and the crook fled the bank with an undisclosed sum. Read More

Muni rider stabbed in hand with fork after dispute

Stick a fork in this parolee, because he’s done. An Oakland woman was stabbed by a fork-wielding man on Muni’s 22-Fillmore line Monday, police said. The 23-year-old victim was sitting on the bus near 16th Street and Potrero Avenue just before 5 p.m. when a 51-year-old man sat down next to her and spread his legs wide, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said. This made the woman uncomfortable, so she got up and stood next to the back door to get off at the next stop, Fong said. Read More

From civic to horrific: Woman flees violent car-invasion robbery

A San Francisco woman was assaulted and robbed while sitting in her car in the Civic Center area Sunday, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said. The 23-year-old victim had stopped her car at Lech Walesa and Van Ness Avenue about 4:15 p.m. to ask for directions, Fong said, when a man in his 20s asked the victim for a cigarette. The man then asked the victim to go somewhere with him and she refused, Fong said. The creep jumped into her car anyway and took the keys out of the ignition. Read More
