A man sustained serious injuries after being struck with a baseball bat in a Bayview district supermarket parking lot Tuesday night, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said.
The victim was in the lot in the 300 block of Williams Avenue about 10:30 p.m. when a man approached and struck him in the head with a bat, Fong said.

A man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Tuesday night after crashing his car into another car on Treasure Island and injuring three people, including an 11-year-old boy who was left in critical condition, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said.
The victims were on the shoulder of Avenue M just north of California Avenue about 9:30 p.m. when their car was struck. A 31-year-old man and the 11-year-old were outside of the car, Fong said. A 9-year-old boy was still in the vehicle.
William Collister, 38, of San Francisco was charged in the crash.

The owner of a Redwood City auto repair shop pleaded no contest Monday to misdemeanor charges of performing unnecessary repairs, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
Sohail Irshad, the owner of Hudson Auto Repair, was busted in two separate undercover stings carried out by the state Bureau of Automotive Repair in November 2010 and February 2011, Wagstaffe said.

Three people were injured and two hospitalized after a Japantown bar fight early Tuesday morning, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said. But the injuries were not life-threatening.
The incident occurred inside Milo Lounge in the 1700 block of Post Street about 1 a.m., an Entertainment Commission spokesman said. Witnesses told police at least 10 people were involved in the melee.

The victim was standing in the 1100 block of Palou Avenue about 10 p.m. when shots were fired from a passing white car, police said.
The boy was struck in his left arm. He was taken to the hospital, but the injury was not life-threatening.

A man was held up at knifepoint, punched and robbed on Treasure Island on Saturday, police said.
The 24-year-old victim was near North Point Drive when one of two suspects snuck up behind him and held a knife to his neck, police said. The second hooligan began punching the victim in the face, police said. The knife-toting thug cut the victim’s neck as he fell to the ground.
The suspects then continued to punch and kick the victim.

A 24-year-old man was beaten and robbed in the Stockton Tunnel on Sunday, police said.
The victim was walking northbound while talking on his cellphone about 11:10 p.m. when two men in their 20s reportedly “battered him.” He dropped his cellphone and one of the crooks picked it up, police said. The crooks fled and no arrests have been made.
The man had minor injuries but refused treatment, police said.

An incident police are calling road rage rattled a delivery driver in Cole Valley on Thursday, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said, and the suspect is still at large.
Cesar Ramirez, 34, of South San Francisco, told police he was making deliveries in the area of 17th and Clayton streets at 8:30 a.m. when a maniac in a brown Volvo S80 cut him off.
“He came from the right side and crossed in front so I would hit him,” Ramirez said. The driver of the Volvo then jumped out of the car brandishing a firearm and threatened to kill Ramirez.

A man was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly attacking another man with a potato peeler and robbing him in the restroom of a Mission district restaurant.
The 55-year-old victim was using the bathroom at the eatery, which is in the 2200 block of Mission Street, about 8:20 p.m. when the 26-year-old suspect barged in holding the potato peeler, police said. He reportedly put the victim in a headlock.

A man was stabbed in the thigh Tuesday night in South of Market, police said Wednesday.
The victim and suspect began arguing in the 1100 block of Howard Street about 6:15 p.m. before the victim punched the suspect, police said. The suspect then reportedly grabbed a steak knife and stabbed the victim in his thigh, but the injury was not life-threatening.
Officers arrived and took the stabbing suspect into custody.
