Imagine being cooped up on a Muni bus with bloodthirsty, knife-wielding robbers. That’s what happened last weekend to a 22-year-old man who was riding the 28-19th Avenue bus on Doyle Drive toward the Golden Gate Bridge.
About 1 p.m. Saturday, police said, the victim was seated near the back of the bus when three thugs approached him and demanded his money.
They tried to reach into the 22-year-old’s pocket, Officer Gordon Shyy said, and the victim reportedly punched one of them.

A man was arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot a Bayview woman last week after her husband rejected his plan to start an underground street fighting operation.
At about 1:10 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to the 1000 block of Innes Avenue on a call about a possibly armed man.
A 41-year-old woman reportedly told the officers that a man who just met her husband earlier that day had come to her home and threatened to “put a bullet in her head.”

Police Chief Greg Suhr has zapped a pilot project that would have armed 5 percent of The City’s police force with stun guns, arguing that the plan suggested by community members was so restrictive that officers saw no point in carrying the devices.
Suhr’s plan would have given 118 stun guns to officers who are specially trained to handle people who suffer from a mental illness. The devices are intended to immobilize people by delivering 50,000 volts of electricity.

A man whose car was rammed during a parking dispute in the Upper Haight on Tuesday certainly got a good look at the other driver, as he reportedly had a lot to say about the suspect’s breasts.
Police were called to Haight and Cole streets just after 5 p.m. about the parking dispute. The victim said the suspect fled after striking his car with hers.
When describing the victim to police, however, the victim’s focus went south of her face.

The man accused of butchering and bludgeoning his friend more than 50 times with a knife and hammer in Pacifica last year pleaded not guilty to the murder charge Wednesday, according to prosecutors.
Marc Anthony Furlan, 24, allegedly killed 24-year-old Keith Coffey on Oct. 17.
The slaying occurred at Furlan’s father’s home on Dell Road and was preceded by an argument, although the motive remains under investigation. Mental illness might have played a factor, as Furlan had previously been enrolled in mental health court, according to The Daily Journal.

A fleeing burglary suspect who has apparently watched too many action films hopped onto the roof of a moving vehicle last week in the Excelsior district, hollering at the driver through the sunroof to “speed up,” police reported.
But instead of barely escaping the law, the suspect was arrested after reportedly being thrown off the car on Alemany Boulevard when the driver sped up for a short distance and then slammed on the brakes.
James Pace, 34, was not seriously injured after hitting the ground, but was nabbed by cops after a foot chase.

A man who got into an spat over money with a Tenderloin stripper early Wednesday was jumped by 15 men and robbed, according to police.
The argument between the 46-year-old man and a female dancer in her early 20s reportedly began in the New Century strip club at 816 Larkin St. at about 3 a.m. The spat then continued on the 700 block of O’Farrell Street, Officer Albie Esparza said.
During the fracas, the man became enraged when the dancer began videotaping him on her cellphone, Esparza said.

A father was stabbed during a brawl with a vile thug who had urinated in front of his two young daughters in the mid-Market district on Tuesday.
At about 6:30 p.m., police said, the disgusted 27-year-old dad was waiting at a bus stop with the toddlers near The Warfield on Market Street when the suspect approached and began peeing in the shelter, Officer Gordon Shyy said.
"The father was upset and asked him to not do that, especially with his kids there," Shyy said.

Once upon a time, teenage bullies simply wanted lunch money.
But on Monday, a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a younger boy for a smartphone at Green and Octavia streets, according to police.
The 14-year-old victim was approached from behind about 4 p.m. Monday and grabbed by the neck. The 16-year-old then swiped the cellphone from the victim’s pants pocket and fled.
Soon after, police said, officers caught the teenager as he was allegedly attempting rob another victim. The 14-year-old’s smartphone was reportedly recovered.

A man went into the bathroom of a Chevron gas station in the 1100 block of Junipera Serra Boulevard and came out pointing a gun at 7:30 p.m. Monday, police said.
The suspect reportedly made of with cash from the register along with the 33-year-old female clerk’s smartphone, police said.
No one was injured, police said, and no arrest had been made as of Tuesday morning.

Famished thieves robbed a grocery deliveryman in downtown San Francisco Monday afternoon.
At about 2:45 p.m., police said, one of two suspects approached the 51-year-old victim from behind in the 200 block of Kearny Street, stuck a knife on his back and demanded his property.
The thugs then pilfered groceries from his truck and fled in an unknown direction. The deliveryman was not injured, police said.

Barbecue sauce was the weapon of choice for burglars fleeing a Bayview district apartment Saturday morning, police said.
A 31-year-old woman told police she was watching TV in her home in the first block of Cameron Way about 8:30 a.m. when she heard a noise.
The victim then saw three unknown men in her apartment. During the suspects’ getaway, police said, one of the burglars “took a bottle of barbecue sauce and poured it on the victim.”
Other than the sauce, police said, nothing else in the apartment was stolen or wasted. No arrests had been made as of Monday.

The suspected “Cubicle Con” was charged Monday with robbing more than a dozen San Mateo County businesses, and prosecutors said he might face additional charges for alleged heists in other counties.
Nicholas Anthony Simat, 26, of Pleasanton pleaded not guilty to 13 counts of commercial burglary in connection with eight robberies in South San Francisco, three in Burlingame and two in Daly City, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
Simat remains in custody on $100,000 bail.
