A 56-year-old woman suffered a serious head injury Monday after being struck in a crosswalk just south of Crocker Amazon Playground, according to police. A man was shot in the arm on Sixth Street early this morning, police said. The 56-year-old told police he was sitting in front of a hotel in the 100 block of Sixth Street at about 2 a.m. when he heard a gunshot and felt the sting from the bullet. A man who filmed the aftermath of a controversial officer-involved shooting in the Bayview district two years ago, then later blasted cops in a TV interview over the incident, was killed Wednesday in the same neighborhood. Trivon Dixon, 27, of Rodeo was fatally shot about 3:45 p.m. while sitting in a car in the first block of Whitney Young Circle, Officer Albie Esparza said. Another car pulled up alongside Dixon’s and a gunman stepped out and shot him, Esparza said. The gunman then reportedly hopped back in the car and fled. Read More

A driver who asked for directions near San Francisco General Hospital late Tuesday afternoon was led to his destination by a man who seemed rather helpful until he whipped a gun and stole the car. The victim, a 59-year-old Chinese man who speaks little English, pulled over in a black Toyota Camry near 23rd Street and Potrero Avenue to ask for directions. Two British tourists were reportedly robbed last weekend of their camera, cash, bank cards, driver’s licenses, phones and other items as they were walking just south of Cesar Chavez Street. The female tourists, who said they were in town for only a short time, called police at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday and said they were walking in the 1500 block of York Street when the suspect approached, Ingleside Station police reported Wednesday.
