One of three women wounded in a broad-daylight shooting in the Tenderloin on Wednesday might have been the gunman’s ex-lover, police said.
The shooting was reported near Ellis and Leavenworth streets about 1 p.m., Sgt. Daryl Fong said.

A 21-year-old man was fatally shot in Visitacion Valley’s gang-ridden housing projects early Wednesday, police said.
Cops responded to the 1700 block of Sunnydale Avenue after ShotSpotter technology informed them of a shooting in the area just after midnight.
William Castillo of San Francisco was found lying between buildings with a gunshot wound to his upper torso, police Officer Albie Esparza said. Castillo was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died from his injuries about 3 a.m., Esparza said.
