Outside Lands festivities end with hospital stay, stolen event wristband for one event-goer

A 20-year-old man’s fun-filled weekend plans were thwarted after he was struck in the head multiple times and robbed of an event wristband granting entry into the Outside Lands music festival in Golden Gate Park last weekend.

The victim was walking near 30th Avenue and John F. Kennedy Drive at 9:30 p.m. Friday when he was approached by three suspects, one of whom has been identified as a man in his mid-20s.

The latter struck the victim in the back of his head, causing him to collapse. The suspects then rummaged through his property and made away with the wristband as well as the victim’s cellphone and wallet. Police have not reported any arrests.
