Even when we disagree with him — such as over the 8 Washington St. condo project, which he opposes — his positions have been sensible and he has remained willing to work with all sides.
Chiu also has been a neighborhood advocate, and has pushed through four pieces of legislation related to nightclub security and violence — a pressing issue in the district that contains some of The City’s most vibrant nightspots. He richly deserves four more years on the board to build on his many accomplishments.
