A New Jersey Transit bus idled for nearly five hours outside a Port Authority terminal in New York with a dead driver inside. When Thomas Truex didn’t return to the bus garage after the morning commute, N.J. Transit officials called his wife, who hadn’t seen him. The bus was finally noticed parked at a curb where drivers routinely stop for a break. The dead driver was in a passenger seat, which would have made him less noticeable, officials said.
