The raiders crippled Pakistan’s anti-submarine warfare capability by destroying two new US-supplied P-3C Orion maritime surveillance aircraft. Former brigadier general Ghazanfar Ali said the successful Taliban attack would “hurt Pakistan’s reputation as a nuclear weapons state.”
