WHAT: They spent more than $100,000 on government purchase cards to buy themselves clothing, flat-screen TVs, tuitions and gym memberships, but none of the 21 Federal Protective Service employees implicated have been disciplined or ever required to pay back what they misspent.
WAS ANYTHING DONE? The General Services Administration inspector general referred five-year investigation findings to federal prosecutors twice, but no criminal charges were ever filed. Three of the 21 employees resigned, four retired and five face possible punishment. No action has been taken against the other nine.
