By: John Upton

Holiday-season cooking oil drop-off dates and locations were announced Wednesday.

Used cooking oil that’s dropped off on Dec. 26, Dec. 27, Jan. 2 and Jan. 3 will be converted into biodiesel. The program helps keep oil out of drains and sewers, where it can create clogs.

Drop-off points are posted on www.sfgreasecycle.com.
