Squabbling among the progressives on the Board of Supervisors has seemingly come to a quick conclusion.
Supervisor David Campos publically slammed Board of Supervisors President David Chiu for not appointing him as a voting member of a board committee so he could cast a key vote on legislation to restore cuts to the Public Health Department.
But about two hours later Chiu appointed Campos as a voting member.
Campos said, “I do have the letter of appointment from president Chiu. I just spoke to president Chiu who apologized and indicated that there was a misunderstanding here. That there was no intent not to proceed with the appointment and I take him at this word. To the extent that there was that misunderstanding -- and you know what I indicated was based on my understanding of what was happening -- to the extent that that was not correct I apologize for that. But I do think it’s important for us to remember that the reason why people feel so passionate about this issue is because it is so important to all of us”
