Ronald Albers, who has been a commissioner for the San Francisco County Superior Court since 2002, has been appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to be a San Francisco Superior Court judge, according to the governor’s office.

The 60-year-old Democrat also served as a trial attorney and then head attorney for the Public Defender’s Office from 1979 to 2001.

In addition to Albers, Schwarzenegger appointed Richard Ulmer Jr., a 55-year-old Republican from Hillsborough.

The two appointees will earn $178,789 salaries.
