Big Apple could mandate sick days

When you are the first to do something, it is just a matter of time before others do it to.
San Francisco was the first to mandate that employers provide sick days for their employers. Then Washington, D.C., followed suit.
Now it looks like New York City may do the same, with Mayor Michael Bloomberg saying his administration is looking at such a mandate.
Of course, other measures like this have failed.
Bloomberg, who was speaking at a campaign forum when he made the comment, said it is too early to commit, though. The speech was also at the World Families Party, which has paid sick days as a priority, according to The Associated Press.
