Blaze in Portola displaces 11 residents, injures firefighter

Firefighters were battling a one-alarm fire in San Francisco’s Portola neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

The blaze was reported at 132 Apollo St. shortly before 1:30 p.m., fire officials said.

One adult was rescued from the blaze, and one firefighter was injured. He was transported to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

Eleven people have been reported displaced by the fire, and Red Cross is on the scene.
