While it’s not huge news that the gymnastics industry has been hard on young girls, six-medal Olympian Aly Raisman’s ordeal with sleazy former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar is especially disheartening.

Promoting her new memoir “Fierce” on various news shows, the athlete, 23, said she was 15 when she underwent many extremely “uncomfortable” treatments by the doctor, in which “his ungloved hands worked their way under” her clothes.

At first, she told People, she didn’t understand that the weird massages were abusive.

Prominent folks on social media came out to support her following the revelation, including teammates Simon Biles and Dominique Moceanu, former NFL player Colton Underwood (who she dated), tennis great Billie Jean King and actress Blake Lively.

The good news: Nassar, who worked at Michigan State University, is in jail, facing sex-related charges. In July, he pleaded guilty to three pornography charges in federal court and is scheduled to be sentenced in federal court on Dec. 7, the Lansing State Journal reported.

Raisman’s teammate McKayla Maroney is among the 100 women who have accused Nassar of sexual abuse; his misconduct dates back to 1994, according a 2016 suit filed by one gymnast who said he abused her for years. Michigan State didn’t fire him until 2016.

On a more glamorous note, Raisman was among the VIPs at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards Monday night in Brooklyn. Honorees and presenters included Gigi Hadid, Samantha Bee, Solange Knowles, Drew Barrymore, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Sofia Coppola, Nicole Kidman and Southern California congresswoman Maxine Waters, who led the crowd in an invigorating, welcomed chant: “Impeach 45!”
