Barack Obama waited for the barrage of year-end lists to clear before continuing his tradition of posting his own. And as to expected, the former president proved he’s got a handle on the cultural zeitgeist.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Obama shared his favorite music and literary picks of 2017.

“During my presidency, I started a tradition of sharing my reading lists and playlists. It was a nice way to reflect on the works that resonated with me and lift up authors and artists from around the world. With some extra time on my hands this year to catch up, I wanted to share the books and music that I enjoyed most,” he wrote.

What made the cut?

Well, “Sing, Unburied Bird, Sing” by Jesmyn Ward — winner of the National Book Award — was listed as one of his favorite reads. The rest included: “The Power” by Naoimi Alderman, “Grant” by Ron Chernow, “Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City” by Matthew Desmond and “Basketball (and Other Things)” by pop culture and sports writer Shea Serrano.

Obama’s top songs of the year would make Malia and Sasha proud. Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble,” JAY-Z’s “Family Feud”, “Chanel by Frank Ocean, “Broken Clocks” by SZA and French Montana’s “Unforgettable” all earned a spot.

A nod to former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello’s “Havana,” Harry Style’s “Sign og the Times” and Little Bit by Mavis Staples and Rise Up by Andra Day, kept the list varied.

We can rest easy knowing the Obama’s share the love for Rihanna too, as her contender for song of the summer “Wild Thoughts” made an appearance.

2017 didn’t end on a high note for Lindsay Lohan.

The “Mean Girls” was bitten by a snake during a hike in Phuket, Thailand, on Wednesday, she revealed on her Instagram story.

Lohan shared a video of her beautiful surroundings before zooming in on the red bite on her ankle.
“I love this, it’s so beautiful, amazing place … aside from my snake bite,” she said.

Lohan, 31, said her shaman on the journey told her the snake bite was actually good luck.

Luck she might be in need of after she was hit with a $100,000 tax lien earlier this week for money she owed for the years 2010, 2014 and 2015, according to People. Lohan and her family launched an investigation into the lien, claiming her team improperly handled her affairs, The Blast reported.

Lohan has been living between Dubai and London in the past few years and spent Christmas holiday in Thailand.
