Nob Hill residential fire displaces nine, kills cat

A one-alarm fire in Nob Hill displaced nine residents and killed a cat on Sunday afternoon, according to fire officials.

The San Francisco Fire Department said the blaze broke out at 1427 Larkin St. near California Street at around 4:18 p.m. and was contained 15 minutes later.

No one was injured except for the cat, according to the SFFD.

The Red Cross is offering services to the displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
