The Giants return to Northern California today to play the Sacramento River Cats in an exhibition game at Raley Field.

It should be a fun few months for River Cats fans as power-hitting outfielders Mac Williamson and Jarrett Parker were sent down on Sunday. The pair combined for eight home runs during spring training.

Fans who procrastinated buying seats to the game should probably just wait for the regular season: Tickets to the major-minor league matchup range from $85 to $375 on StubHub as of Tuesday night.

HAHN SENT DOWN

Heading into spring training, Jesse Hahn was presumed the Athletics’ No. 2 starter behind Sonny Gray. On Tuesday, Hahn was sent to Triple-A Nashville after a spring training plagued with control issues leading to an 11.15 earned runs average.

“If we’re going to have the type of year that we envision having, he’s going to need to be a part of it,” manager Bob Melvin said, “but right now, he just needs to iron some things out.”

MO BUCKETS IN 2016

The USA Basketball team for the upcoming Summer Olympics will include a number of familiar faces for Bay Area NBA fans.

Chris Paul said Tuesday that he won’t be playing, which helps Klay Thompson’s chances of making the team; Anthony Davis’ knee surgery means Draymond Green has a clearer path to the roster than before; and something tells me Stephen Curry will be chosen.

But why not simplify things and take the whole Warriors roster with some tweaks? Replace Andrew Bogut, Anderson Varejao, Leandro Barbosa and Festus Ezeli with people who are big and born in this country, sub Harrison Barnes for Kevin Durant (like the Dubs will this summer) and you’ve got a gold medal.
