Newsmaker: Rashad Green 081508

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound basketball player has agreed to transfer from Manhattan to USF.

Under NCAA transfer rules, Green will be forced to sit out the 2008-09 season.

In his freshman season with the Jaspers, Green averaged 7.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.

“He is a tough, hard-nosed young man from New York who is looking forward to competing in the West Coast Conference,” USF coach Rex Walters said.
