Achievement The couple raised more than $40,000 for the San Francisco Leadership Council of Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation to help further and support GLAAD’s culture-changing work toward LGBT marriage equality.
Dickens House Tour offers design ideas, preview of holiday boutique
The Dickens House Design Tour is back due to popular demand. The designer showcase will be held at an exquisite Hillsborough estate boasting elegant aesthetics, from art and architecture to fine furnishings. Tours run Thursday through Monday and Sept. 18-22. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The tours also represent a preview event to the Dickens House Holiday Boutique, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and will run from Oct. 18-Nov. 2. The boutique is the home of holiday treats, ornaments and gift items.
Proceeds from 2008 Dickens House events go to students and programs of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Day School in San Mateo.
