The owners of the Cosco Busan, who were fined millions after the container ship struck the Bay Bridge in 2007, spilling 53,000 gallons of oil, have sued the drugstore that allegedly gave prescription drugs to the ship’s pilot. The suit alleges that pharmacists at a Petaluma Longs Drugs store negligently supplied pilot Cota for years with medications that contributed to the crash.
