Fresh new jobs are coming to San Francisco.
Last week, Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market announced job openings for 20 to 25 people for its upcoming Outer Richmond district store. The store is slated to open early 2011 at 32nd Avenue and Clement Street.
At the same time, 11 more stores will open in the Bay Area and Modesto, employing more than 275 people, the company said. Applications can be submitted at the website.
The Outer Richmond store accompanies plans for a CVS Pharmacy at the same lot. The site was formerly occupied by Albertsons, which closed in 2006.
Residents have expressed pleasure with activity on the land, complaining the abandoned space has attracted graffiti and other seedy elements.
Fresh & Easy operates more than 150 stores with about 4,300 employees in California, Arizona and Nevada.
