Mission District fatal shooting victim id’ed

A man killed in a shooting that also injured two others late last month in San Francisco’s Mission District has been identified as 29-year-old Marcos Martin Interian, according to the city’s medical examiner’s office.

The victim, a San Francisco resident, was pronounced dead at the scene of the June 30 shooting, which occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Mission Street between 17th and 18th streets, police said.

Officers nearby initially responded after hearing gunshots in the area.

Two other men, both 20 years old, were taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds not considered life-threatening, police said.

A description of the suspect and their vehicle was not immediately available.

The shooting is under investigation and anyone with information is advised to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.
