School board Commissioner Jill Wynns said the case involved “various grants,” but no general-fund money or other dollars that pay teachers or programs that had to be cut recently.

Kim and Fewer confirmed that a handful of employees had been put on paid leave. Kim said the board is “waiting to terminate their employment” until the criminal investigation reaches more conclusions.
