A break in the rain in the Bay Area has resulted in minimal cancellations but some delays at airports in the region today.

San Francisco International Airport has experienced 24 flight cancellations today, according to airport spokesman Doug Yakel.

The cancellations are split evenly between arriving and departing flights and are mostly happening on short-haul commutes along the West Coast, Yakel said.

Oakland International Airport reported some flight delays, which are also split evenly between arriving and departing flights and occurring mainly on flights to heading to cities on the West Coast.

No flights have been canceled today and operations appeared to be running normally, according to airport spokeswoman Keonnis Taylor.

Mineta San Jose International Airport also experienced flight delays but mainly on arriving flights, spokeswoman Vicki Day said.

Some flights coming from Denver and Los Angeles were delayed by up to an hour. Other than the minor delays, there were no cancellations and operations appeared to be running normally, according to Day.
