Marilyn Manson has done some explaining about pointing a fake semi automatic shotgun into the crowd at his San Bernardino concert on Sunday.

The rocker rightly faced criticism after he wielded the prop from the stage on the same day a gunman killed more than two dozen people in a church in Texas, and almost two years after a deadly mass shooting at San Bernardino’s Inland Regional Center.

In a press statement, the shock rocker said his performance wasn’t meant to be “disrespectful or show any insensitivity,” but was an attempt to make a statement about gun control.

Manson said, “My art has always been a reaction to popular culture and my way to make people think about the horrible things that happen in this world.”

The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Dept. told TMZ that Manson notified authorities about the act, so that security wouldn’t be caught off guard during the show.

Manson, 48, was sitting in a wheelchair and dressed as a hospital patient during the performance. He broke his leg last month during another show when a gun prop fell onto it.

Other acts appearing at Sunday’s Knotfest included Rob Zombie, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor’s Stone Sour, Orange County’s Eighteen Visions, San Diego electronic rock duo Prayers, Testament and The Black Dahlia Murder.

LAMAR’S OK

Lamar Odom was parched, not on drugs, when he fell at a Los Angeles club on Sunday.

A rep for the former NBA player told the press, “Lamar is doing well. He was dehydrated and had been in an intense workout earlier in the day.

The comment came in the wake of a TMZ video that showed three men helping him to his feet as club patrons looked on at Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood around 2 a.m. Sunday.

Formerly married to Khloé Kardashian, Odom famously was rushed to the hospital in 2015 after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and was in a coma for four days. Upon his recovery, he completed a drug rehab program.
