Man stabbed in fight on Polk Street

A 44-year-old man was stabbed after a scuffle with another man early Thursday morning in Polk Gulch, police said.

At 2 a.m. the victim was walking near Polk and Pine streets when he got into what police called an “altercation” with a 28-year-old man.

After their interaction the suspect fled and the victim realized he’d been stabbed. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

No arrest has been made in the case.
