A 57-year-old man was walking in the Tenderloin Tuesday morning when he “suddenly felt a sharp pain,” Officer Grace Gatpandan said.
The man didn’t realize it at first, but he had been stabbed in the leg near Leavenworth and Ellis streets between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.
“Someone else told him he was bleeding,” Gatpandan said. “There were individuals around him but he didn’t know who possibly did it.”
The man had puncture wounds on the back of his lower leg, which are not life threatening, and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.
