Man seriously injured in Potrero Hill assault

A 45-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries when an argument turned physical and another man punched him in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood early Wednesday morning, according to police.

The attack was reported at 1:11 a.m. in the area of 16th Street and San Bruno Avenue.

Following an argument, the suspect punched the victim and then fled on foot, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries considered life-threatening. An update on his condition was not immediately available Wednesday morning.

The suspect, believed to be a man in his 30s, remains at large. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
