Man dies in Excelsior neighborhood shooting

A man was shot and killed in the Excelsior neighborhood Saturday night, according to police.

The San Francisco Police Department responded to a report of a shooting Saturday night at 11:45 p.m. at the 500 block of Naples Street, according to an SFPD spokesperson.

Police arrived at the scene within a block of Excelsior Playground and found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. SFPD had no further information Sunday.
