A man sustained life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed with a stick in the Tenderloin on Saturday night while trying to break up a fight, according to police.
The 46-year-old man was attempting to break up a fight on the 200 block of Golden Gate Avenue around 9:08 p.m. when a 66-year-old man allegedly used a stick to hit and stab him, police said.
It is unclear if the person who stabbed the man with the stick was involved in the fight that the victim was trying to break up.
The man suspected of the stabbing was arrested, but his identity was not immediately released. The victim was sent to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police.
