UAL Corp. applied with federal regulators to begin nonstop flights of Boeing 777 jumbo jets between San Francisco and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport. Four more daily routes are being allowed at the smaller Haneda Airport, which is close to downtown Tokyo, making the flights attractive to business fliers. Narita Airport is about 45 miles away from downtown Tokyo.
