A woman who was struck by a car at Masonic and Euclid avenues this afternoon in San Francisco has died, according to police.
The victim was crossing Masonic near Euclid Avenue outside of a crosswalk around 5:20 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Masonic, Sgt. Daryl Fong said.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver remained on the scene and has not been arrested.
Traffic remains closed in both directions on Masonic between Geary Boulevard and Euclid while the investigation continues, Fong said. There is no estimated time for the street to reopen.
