A pedestrian who was killed when he was struck by a car on San Francisco’s Lombard Street on Sunday has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 45-year-old Thomas Ferguson.
The accident was reported at 8:44 p.m. Sunday on Lombard Street between Van Ness Avenue and Franklin Street.
Ferguson, a San Francisco resident, was apparently walking outside of the crosswalk when he was struck by a four-door Toyota traveling west on Lombard Street, police said. He was pinned underneath the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
