SFO airport terminal evacuated after suspicious package found

A terminal at San Francisco International Airport was evacuated Friday morning after a suspicious package was found at a Terminal 1 security checkpoint.

The checkpoint was closed for an investigation of the package, which was found around 11:30 a.m., according to an airport duty manager.

The all-clear was given around 1:20 p.m. following the report of the suspicious package, which shut down Boarding Area C in Terminal 1 of the airport , spokesman Mike McCarron said. One person has been interviewed in connection with the package, but McCarron said he did not know if they were in custody.
