Overturned truck cleared from San Mateo-Hayward Bridge

The California Highway Patrol cleared an overturned armored truck that blocked two westbound lanes on the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge just west of the toll plaza for more than an hour this morning, a CHP sergeant said.

The CHP cleared at 8:47 a.m. the Brinks armored truck that was blocking two middle lanes, Sgt. John Carman said.

The solo-vehicle crash was reported shortly after 7:20 a.m. just west of the toll plaza, snarling the morning commute traffic on the bridge, Carman said.

No one was injured in the crash, he said.
