The landscape in San Bruno changed dramatically Sept. 9, 2010, when a gas pipeline owned and operated by PG&E exploded, obliterating an entire neighborhood. Firefighters from throughout the Peninsula came to fight the blaze from the land and air. The Crestmoor neighborhood of San Bruno was destroyed by the explosion that witnesses say sent a fireball more than 1,000 feet into the air.
