A pair of inexperienced sailors crashed their 30-foot sailboat into the Raccoon Strait rocks Monday afternoon after their motor conked out.
The sailors sent out a distress call after crashing into the rocks in rough conditions near Angel Island at about 6:45 p.m., according to the Coast Guard.
A local fire boat responded and towed the vessel to the Corinthian Yacht Club in Tiburon.
The sailors were uninjured and they were not believed to have been drunk or high at the time of the accident, a Coast Guard official said.
